We know that being a Rookie FIRST Robotics Competition Team is difficult, but though FIRST in Michigan, Rookies have it a little easier.
With the opportunity to participate in weekly conference calls hosted by veteran Teams 27 and 2337, coupled with a vast array of available online resources and workshops, Rookie teams can get get their gears turning and motors running before the season even starts.
Rookie Teams who participate in the FIRST in Michigan Rookie Training program have greater success meeting and maintaining goals throughout the build season, and are better prepared for their first FIRST Robotics Competition season.
Strategy Dictates Design Workshop and KoP Chassis Build Session
To help Teams develop a game strategy that is adapted for their specific abilities and needs, the EngiNERDs are hosting an interactive, hands-on workshop the day after FIRST Kickoff. Veteran and Rookie Teams are invited to attend, and will gain valuable knowledge about strategy, and have the opportunity to build their Kit of Part (KoP) Chassis.
A workshop designed to help teams develop a game-specific strategy for their 2012 FIRST Robotics Competition Robot, and to assist teams in creating a fully functional, moving Kit of Parts Chassis.
